St. James Intermediate Visits Cosmetology School

Thirty girls from, St. James Intermediate School, a local area school got a chance to come spend sometime with the students of Strand College of Hair Design today 5/25. Students from both educational institutions got a nice break from the routine learning schedule while having the chance to learn some new facts about the Cosmetology Industry. Many students around this age begin to think about what they want to do as far as postsecondary education and ultimately their career path. This field trip offered many of this girls and boys a look into the field of Cosmetology that they may have otherwise overlooked. One point stressed to our potential Cosmetology students is that possible income! A recent study of Cosmetologists in the state of South Carolina showed graduates earning over 30k in their very first year out of school! This was several thousand dollars above the national average. Again we at Strand College would like to thank all the girls from St. James and welcome them back anytime.
